Tri-City Dance Centre

Julie has been dancing since the young age of three. Her training included R.A.D. Ballet (up to the Advanced II level) Jazz, Tap, Musical Theatre and Lyrical Jazz. Most of Julie's training was at Peggy Peat's School of dance in her home town of Maple Ridge. It was here that she trained with Shannon Stewardson, Belinda Sobie, Margaret Derksen and Jocelyn Peden. In 1999, Julie decided to further her training at Tri-City Dance Centre. She trained extensively with such teachers as Ryan Berketa and Sherrie Scherger, as well as continuing her training with Shannon Stewardson (owner of Tri-City Dance Centre).

Julie has taken part in many local dance activities throughout the Lower Mainland, such as the Royal City Youth Ballet's production of "The Nutcracker". She has also competed at the international level at such well known competitions as the Hawaii International Dance Festival. Julie also spent a summer in Louisville, Kentucky, where she danced with the Louisville Ballet in their extensive summer training program.

Julie is a fully registered teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance and teaches all levels of ballet. She also runs the Pre-dance program at the studio. Julie is entering her fifth year of teaching at Tri-City Dance Centre.
