PRE-DANCE 1 AND PRE-DANCE 2

Girls:

·        Pale Pink Short-Sleeved Leotard (body suit) ~ available from our studio store!

·        White Ankle Socks

·        Pink full-sole leather ballet slippers with elastics, strings tied and tucked in

·        Pink chiffon skirt (optional) No Tutus!

·        Hair in a pony tail, braids or a bun, if hair is short it must be well groomed and a headband must be worn to secure the hair

Boys:

·        Plain White fitted “T” shirt and Navy or Black dance shorts

·        White full-sole leather ballet slippers with elastics, strings tied and tucked in

·        White ankle socks

·        Hair well groomed

 

PRE-PRIMARY AND PRIMARY BALLET

Girls:

·        Lilac Short-Sleeved “Capezio Brand” Leotard (body suit) ~ available from our studio store ONLY!

·        White Regulation Ankle Socks (RAD) – available from the Dance Box or dance supply store.

·        Pink full-sole leather ballet slippers with elastics, strings tied and tucked in

·        Lilac wrap-skirt ~ available from our studio store ONLY!

·        Hair in a bun (using an elastic, hair pins and a hair net or bun cover); if hair is short it must be well groomed and a headband must be worn to secure the hair

·        No Undergarments.

Boys:

·        Plain White fitted “T” shirt

·        Navy or Black dance shorts (No soccer shorts, knees must be visible)

·        White full-sole leather ballet slippers with elastics, strings tied and tucked in

·        White ankle socks

·        Hair well groomed

 

RAD GRADE 1 AND 2 BALLET

Girls:

·        Light blue tank Leotard (body suit) ~ Available from our studio store.

·        Light blue 2cm/¾ ” waist elastic

·        White Regulation Ankle Socks (RAD) from the Dance Box or dance supply store.

·        Pink full-sole leather ballet slippers with elastics, strings tied and tucked in

·        Black character skirt (circle skirt 3” below the knee) with blue ribbons

·        Black low heel character shoes with pink elastic

·        Hair in a bun (using an elastic, hair pins and a hair net or bun cover); if hair is short it must be well groomed and a headband must be worn to secure the hair

·        No undergarments

Boys:

·        Plain White fitted “T” shirt

·        Navy or Black dance shorts (No soccer shorts, knees must be visible)

RAD GRADE 3, 4 AND 5 BALLET

·        Navy Regulation tank body suit with twist or gather in front with a Navy 2cm/¾ ” waist elastic (not available from our studio store – purchase from the Dance Box or any dance supply store)

·        Ballet Pink tights

·        Pink full-sole leather ballet slippers with elastics, strings tied and tucked in

·        Black character skirt (circle skirt 3” below the knee) with ribbons

·        Black High heel character shoes with pink elastic

·        Hair in a bun (using an elastic, hair pins and a hair net or bun cover); if hair is short it must be well groomed and a headband must be worn to secure the hair

·        No undergarments

Boys:

RAD GRADE 6, 7 AND 8 BALLET & RAD VOCATIONAL LEVELS

Girls:

·        Any Dark, Solid Coloured Leotard

·        Ballet Pink tights

·        Pink full-sole leather ballet slippers with elastics, strings tied and tucked in or canvas ballet slippers

·        Hair in a classical bun (high, no bangs, using an elastic, hair pins and a hair net); if hair is short it must be well groomed and a headband must be worn to secure the hair

·        Black character skirt (circle skirt 3” below the knee) with ribbons (Required for Grade 6, 7, & 8 only)

·        Black High heel character shoes with pink elastic (Required for Grade 6, 7, & 8 only)

 

POINTE CLASSES

Girls:

·        Any Dark, Solid Coloured Leotard

·        Ballet Pink tights

·        Pink hard Pointe shoes with ribbons (must be fitted by teacher or have shoes approved by teacher before sewing on ribbons)

·        Hair in a classical bun (high, no bangs, using an elastic, hair pins and a hair net); if hair is short it must be well groomed and a headband must be worn to secure the hair

·        Optional wrap skirt in Intermediate, Senior Pointe and Pointe & Repertoire.

 

RECREATIONAL BALLET

Girls:

·        Black Leotard (body suit)

·        Ballet Pink tights

·        Pink full-sole leather ballet slippers, strings tied and tucked in

·        Hair in a classical bun (high, no bangs, using an elastic, hair pins and a hair net); if hair is short it must be well groomed and a headband must be worn to secure the hair

·        No undergarments

 

JAZZ AND MUSICAL THEATRE

Girls:

·        Dance Leotard (body suit) of any colour, with jazz pants or bike shorts (no zippers or ties) Or Biketard

·        Black Split Sole Jazz Shoes - Slip-on Style Only (Laces permitted only in Recreational Classes)

·        Hair in a pony tail, braids or a bun, if hair is short it must be well groomed and a headband must be worn to secure the hair

·        Absolutely no sweat pants, T-shirts or sports bras allowed! Jazz Pants cannot touch the floor.

·        No hoop or dangling earrings. Please do not wear jewelry to class. i.e. rings, watches, etc.

Boys:

·        Plain Fitted “T” shirt or tank ~ Any solid colour

·        Dance shorts or black jazz pants

·        Black Split Sole Jazz Shoes - Slip-on Style Only (Laces permitted only in Recreational Classes).

·        White ankle socks, Hair well groomed

·        Please do not wear jewelry to class. i.e. rings, watches, etc.

 

TAP

Girls:

·        Solid Coloured Dance Leotard (bodysuit) ~ can be worn with lycra shorts or chiffon skirt.

·        Tights or bare legs can be worn with above          Knees must be visible at all times.

·        Proper tap shoes reflecting level must be worn. (see below)

Shoes (girls):

·        Pre-Star: Black patent leather (Mary Jane style)

·        Red Star, Blue Star & Yellow Star:

~ Black patent leather or flat leather

~ Capezio Mary Jane 3800C or Bloch tap-on S0302L

~ Taps MUST be screwed-in (No nailed in Taps)

·        Bronze Lower and up

 Black Oxford tap shoes (lace-up) ~ Bloch, Capezio (3 screw)

Boys:

·        Fitted ‘T’ shirts or tanks – Any Solid colour with Dance shorts.

·        Proper tap shoes reflecting level must be worn. (see below)

·        Hair well groomed

Shoes (Boys)::   All levels – black oxford tap shoes

Recreational/Beginner tap:       Any black tap shoes

 

***Absolutely no street clothes to be worn in tap classes!

 

HIP HOP

Girls:

·        Sweatpants, yoga pants ~  attire that allows for free movement (no jeans)

·        Clean non-marking sneakers (no street shoes). Please NOTE:  Competitive classes will get shoes

·        Hair off the face ~ No hoop or dangling earrings. Please do not wear jewelry to class. i.e. rings, watches, etc.

Boys:

·        Sweatpants or shorts ~ attire that allows for free movement (no jeans)

All clothes must be cotton/lycra or spandex.  Absolutely no pockets, ties, zippers, fly’s, belt loops, or sweatpants (with the exception of Hip Hop)  Students MUST be in dance attire.
